Artist’s Statement
Art as syncretism: in a collision of ideas, traditions and culture, boundaries blur and anything is fair game; through every medium, in any given generation, on any given day, no matter how alienating or seemingly remote, making art is a distinctly human activity sharing these elements.
The corpus of these widely held and vestigial semblances create within me a worldview lyrically coexisting in the bleed between what is made and what is only considered. In this sideways glance at the world’s silhouette, narratives surface, are destroyed, and reiterated in partial obtrusion. A process rendering them inert pieces of distinctly different obsessions.
There is ample room within this scaffolding for every artifact, meme, or totem to squat in plain sight, casualties of our post-metaphysical sensibilities. Aware of the disjointed unconsciousness, we confabulate meanings that make discreet disclosures about ourselves.
